Secretary Position is Open
Amber has
decided not to accept the secretary position. We wish Amber and Peter
well in trying to open their store Anime Fan Zone. This means that the
Secretary position still needs to be filled. We will be holding a
special election November 20th.

Astro Boy event
Vision of Anime will be seeing Astro Boy in Milwaukee on Oct 24 at 5:00
pm. The theater is Mayfair 18 (AMC) locate at Mayfair mall.
The Showing is at 5:15 for $9.50

Unfortunately due to some internal issues, our annual club Elections will be pushed back to October. Please stay tuned to the website, forums and your email box for more information.
Scott, our webmaster, is now in charge of the Election Committee and anyone needing an absentee ballot must email him right away. More details to come soon. Great news everyone. VOA has a temporary home for our meeting in July. The meeting for this month will be held on July 3rd. Please stay tuned for our meeting date in August! The meeting location is as follows:

These meetings are a bit out of the way, but well worth the trip. Come on by, pick up your newsletters, join in the fun and games.These meetings will be from 6-10pm as normal and we have a ton of outdoor space with this location. Feel free to take advantage of it while we can here in Wisconsin!

We are at the mercy of government right now, so please bare with us.
The club is considering alternative meeting locations. If you have a

Forums - Spammers be evil and everywhere!
Our forums have been hit very hard from potential spammers trying to sign up and register. For the time being our user registration is set to Admin approved before you will be able to post and do other things on the forums. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are literally getting several attempts per hour right now. If you are trying to sign up for the forums, please email or PM an Admin on the forums to be activated. Peter, Jesse, Tim and Scott are all able to this and Admin's usernames are in Red on the forums.

Anime Milwaukee 2009

Yes, it's almost here. If you are interested in either running a panel or volunteering during the event you can get free registration and help out our local convention. Sign up for panels is on their website and the deadline is this week, so hurry!
Also, Anime Fan Zone is making their debut at Anime Milwaukee in the Dealer's Room selling all sorts of anime merchandise. They will also be bringing arcade games to the convention which include Pop'n Music 14, Drummania 10th Mix and Keyboardmania 2nd Mix. New Year, New Officers
The club held its annual election in September, where our club members vote on a new President, VP, Secretary & Treasurer. The new President selects our appointed Officers each term and we welcome two new faces this year, Jason Hahn (Events) and Crystal Hampton (Publicity). There were no other changes to the Officer group and we welcome everyone back for another great year. Good luck to all the Officers this term.
And for everyone that showed up to the meeting on 10/3, you may have noticed the club's brand new projector screen. The screen measures a huge 80" and has the option to either open to a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. It's also very portable and the club has been needing its own screen for a very long time now.

Club Elections proved every vote counts!
Thanks to everyone that came out and voted this year. We had a wonderful turnout and the old saying "every vote counts" was never more true. We had two contested positions this year (Vice President, Treasurer), and only the incumbents running again for President and Secretary. Jesse Daniel (incumbent VP) came out ahead over Bryan Previte for Vice President as both candidates battled it out with well executed speeches. Tim Davis (incumbent) also retained his spot as Treasurer over newcomer Jason Hahn.
